#17. Why Your Root Chakra Might Be Blocking Clients, Cash & Clarity

Script

Hello my powerful little moonbeams,

Today, we’re going to be talking about your root chakra and how it could be linked to money and career blocks.

Now, if you have experienced job loss recently… trouble finding a new job… or maybe you’ve been working for a promotion, but no doors seem to be opening. Or perhaps you own your own business and it’s just crickets—no momentum, no clarity, and you're starting to feel stuck.

If you’re noticing stagnancy around money, career, business, home life, or any of the physical foundations of your world… and you're doing everything in your power to improve them—but nothing seems to shift.

Then, it might be related to your root chakra.

When I notice blocks in my business, finances, home life, or family relationships, I go straight to my root chakra. As spiritual practitioners, it's so easy to stay floating up in the upper chakras—crown, third eye, heart—and forget to tend to our lower energy centers. But that root? That’s your anchor. That’s your foundation in the 3D world. And it needs just as much love and care.

So if you’re feeling ungrounded, stuck, or unsure of your next steps—I want to help you identify whether your root chakra is out of balance… and then share some gentle, powerful ways to clear it, replenish it, and get energy flowing again. And of course, I’ll offer a little ritual to work with during this upcoming full moon to help you release scarcity and call in aligned abundance.

Let’s begin.

First off—how do you know if you’re dealing with a root chakra blockage or imbalance?

Here are some common signs and symptoms to look for:

💸 Money & Career Struggles

  • Constant fear around not having enough money

  • Difficulty holding down a job or feeling unstable in your career

  • Trouble manifesting financial abundance

🏠 Home & Safety Issues

  • Not feeling safe in your body or environment

  • Instability in your home life or frequent moving

  • Deep fear of being abandoned or unsupported

😟 Emotional & Physical Symptoms

  • Anxiety, especially survival-based anxiety

  • Feeling scattered, ungrounded, or disassociated

  • Physical issues like lower back pain, fatigue, or immune problems

💔 Disconnection from the Body & Earth

  • Neglecting physical needs like rest, nutrition, or movement

  • Feeling disconnected from nature

  • Struggling with embodiment and being fully present

Root chakra wounds are also often formed in childhood and related to your early experiences with safety, belonging, and being provided for. Healing it often requires tending to the inner child, reconnecting to the body, and creating new foundations of safety—physically, emotionally, and energetically.

Now, again, if you’ve tried all the practical approaches to balancing these areas—if you've done everything "right" at your job and still got laid off… if you've been applying like crazy and hearing nothing back… if it always seems to be money in and money out, or if you own a business and you just can’t seem to get or keep clients, then we need to look at what’s going on energetically.

Ask yourself this:

What do you do when those uncomfortable emotions start creeping up around money, your career, or your business?

Do you feel shame? Guilt? Frustration? Grief?

And when those feelings surface, what’s your response?
Do you push them down?
Avoid them?
Jump into gratitude and try to bypass what you’re actually feeling?

If you're trying to dismiss those emotions or override them with a “positive" attitude, it won't work. It might temporarily… but the effect won’t stick. Because you're not embodying gratitude from a whole spirit… you're not whole... your spirit is still shattered all which ways... If you're trying to force your mind to shift immediately into a higher vibration BEFORE you actually allow those sticky, messy emotions to emerge and release, without allowing the shadow to rise and be witnessed... you'll very possibly feel blocked, stagnant, disconnected, and maybe even a little lost.

Now a quick note here, I do believe in focusing on gratitude each day and being grateful for what you do have and how far you have come. But when it comes to energetic blocks, you have to go deeper.

Ok, so once you've identified those emotions… how do you release what’s keeping you stuck?

Here are a few ideas and I will warn you, they are not super glamorous or sexy.. They’re quite simple but also extremely powerful when you actually implement them.

1. Cry or scream.
Yes, I know it’s not flashy—but we rarely let ourselves do these things. I don’t know about you but I didn’t cry in front of people for YEARS… YEARS… and I definitely never felt like there was a safe space to really scream or yell when I was angry. I mean think about it, if you needed to really scream.. Like a rageful warrior scream… where could you do it without someone hearing you and thinking something insane was happening? Where?? Maybe your car if nobody’s around… but yeah… even out in nature.. Someone is bound to hear you…. Most parks have people in them… so, think about it, where could you really let out a soulbending scream? So, finding a place or way to safely do this can be incredibly cathartic. If anger or grief creeps in, instead of shoving it down, go somewhere private and just let it rip. Scream into a pillow. Cry in the car. Go to a rage room or a break room if that’s your thing. Just let it OUT. You need an outlet.

If you don't, it stays lodged in your body—and that stuck energy can block your flow and overtime, maybe even manifest as a physical illness.

And another thing, rage and grief are some of the lowest vibrational frequencies on the emotional spiral chart. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google the emotional spiral chart. It can help you locate where you are not only on an emotional scale but a vibrational scale as well. Identifying and acknowledging what your body is feeling is the first step.

2. Move your body or try breathwork.
There is something insanely powerful about moving your body organically and letting it move how it wants to. Completely shut your mind off and fall into your body and just let it move how it needs to move. Don't try and think about it or dictate how it should look. You're alone, do whatever you want. Look as creepy and weird as you want to. And as you start to do this, you very likely may have an emotional release. Let it come out... just observe, let it have space to emerge, and honor it however it needs to show up. And just a mini warning here, somatic breathwork and embodiment practices are a bit more advanced and if you're unsure of how you would handle a heavy emotion that could come up, please start gently. It's very easy to go deep with this sort of practice and if you're not well-equipped or skilled in holding space for those deeper layers, it can be quite heavy and you need to know how to move the energy up and out, not just get stuck in it. It's very important. If you're new to this and want to try this, I suggest looking on YouTube for beginner somatic movements, embodiment practice, or breathwork. Start there. I will say this is such powerful magick though and if you allow yourself the time and space to do this sort of work, you can have some really phenomenal breakthroughs.

To give you an idea of how something like this works, in my experience, I have spent 4-5 hours at a time working through specific emotions or memories with these methods. And when I’m in it, I’m in it. Time does not exist, I’m allowing myself to come fully forward in all its rawness. I always make sure I’m alone so I can express myself freely and sometimes, I’ll find a song that triggers me emotionally, and I’ll play it over and over and over to work through that emotion through movement. And then, when I’m all tuckered out doing that, I will journal about it to get the thoughts and mental pieces cleared out. It can be life changing if you embrace it. I highly highly recommend doing these sorts of practices if you are comfortable. And please always reach out to a professional therapist or counselor if you’re handling heavier trauma that you need more support with. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting extra support when you start diving into these deeper layers of your spirit.

3. Write it all out.
Sometimes, just writing it down is enough to get it out. Write all of your feelings down freely without thinking and let it just flow out. No matter how messy, ugly, or crazy it may sound, just get it out of your body. And a really cathartic thing is to then burn these pages (unless you want to keep the journal) but you can totally burn them but be sure you’re releasing them with your full body and soul... visualize these thought patterns leaving your body as the pages burn into ash.

After the release, it’s time to bring in nourishment. You’ve cleared out this space, now there’s space for new and energizing energy.

  • Try root chakra Qigong or yoga poses like child’s pose, goddess pose, or mountain pose. But while you’re doing this, you envision white light coming from the heavens and filling the space beneath your spine. Seeing it grow and pulse and then start to glow red. You’re charging this energy center up.

  • Eat grounding foods like potatoes, carrots, beets, radishes.

  • Sip ginger or dandelion root tea.

  • And spend time physically connecting to the earth—barefoot if possible.

  • And finally, if you’re a reiki practitioner, you can do self-reiki on this specific chakra while you’re in a root chakra strengthening pose.

Remember: when your root is strong, your other chakras can flow. But if your root is blocked, everything above it will struggle to stay balanced.

Now once you’ve released all that stagnant energy and started refueling your root, you might begin to feel a spark—like something new wants to come through.

If you’re a healer, a spiritual entrepreneur, or someone who’s been trying to shape your next offering but it’s just not flowing... I’ve created something to help.

It’s called the Aligned Offer Ritual + Checklist—and it’s a soft, sacred way to slow down, clear out the mental chaos, check in with your inner wisdom, and reconnect to what your spirit is really craving to share in this world.

Now, I want you to really create a beautiful and sacred space when you do this ritual. Turn down the noise of the outside world. Dim the lights. Light your candles. Slow everything down—and slip into the quiet your soul needs to see your visions clearly, pull them from your center, and begin crafting them from a grounded, aligned space.

Whether you're just beginning or realigning something you’ve already been sharing, this guide will help you hear what’s trying to come through you now.

You can grab it using the link in the show notes. It’s totally free and a beautiful next step after doing this root chakra healing work.

A Quick Recap

  1. Identify the emotions and patterns that might be tied to a root chakra wound.

  2. Release what’s stuck—whether through screaming, crying, movement, journaling, or any other method that resonates with your spirit.

  3. Nourish and rebuild—through food, ritual, herbs, and connection to your body and the Earth.

Okay, I am trying something new today. I want to pull an Oracle card for you and just to let you know which one I'm using. I'm using the Lantern Oracle by Angelina Mirab. I believe that's how you pronounce her last name. It looks Japanese, but um, it's mirabito if you need to spell it out. And anyways, I'm  I'm go ahead and shuffle and I'm simply asking the universe and my spirit guides what message we need to hear right now and what knowledge would it have us learn today?

Okay. I pulled the metamorphosis card, which is number 11 in the deck. Now this is so funny. I don't know about you guys, but I have been seeing 11, 11 and 1 1 1 everywhere these days, like the past couple months. It's just constant, like I receive messages at that time. I send messages that that time. When I look at the clock, just when I'm, you know, my arrival time, whenever I'm driving, it's just so crazy.

But anyways, I just wanted to share that 'cause I thought that was funny. All right, so the name of the card is Metamorphosis

And first I want to sort of describe the art of the card. So we have an androgynous looking man or woman and they are sort of wrapped in this red cloak that is bursting from, uh, their back, their sides, and it meets. At their root, which is funny, we're talking about the root chakra. And this red cloak is encasing them, but also bursting out at the same time, bursting out from the root chakra.

And they're also holding this, uh.

This collection of leaves and vines and these leaves as they travel down the side of their body, start to turn red and uh, brown and there is some decaying leaves. And to me this card is really saying that, in order for, for rebirth and renewal, decay, death, have to coexist at the same time within us and around us.

So we hold in our arms, right? Like this person in the card they're holding. Death decay. But at the same time, there's the new leaves which represent, life and birth and renewal and new beginnings and all of it. We're holding it all at the same time all the time.

Within us and around us. And, also I just find it so beautiful, to think about how we're also, again, how I mentioned about the August monthly moonbeams and how August is a threshold month and how it is, the energy that we sit in as we are, transitioning into the subtle soft energies of fall.

Right. So you have all of this lively greenery around us, right? The trees, the bushes, our gardens, everything is just at its full capacity, just thriving in all of its beautiful life energy. But at the same time, in the same month, we will start feeling towards the end of August, moving into September, we will start feeling that transition, the metamorphosis, the change going into, that, dying of the old.

And so I think it's so lovely that I pulled this card, especially since I'm talking about the root chakra and my newsletters, talking about the threshold month moving into a calmer, quieter energy.

And how August holds both of these energies at the same time, which I find really lovely. I don't know if you feel that as well, but in August, like I start feeling both of those energies within me. I start feeling the calmness, like my body's getting ready to like, ooh, it's, it's almost time to rest.

But all at the same time enjoying the full life around me with all of the animals and the flowers and the trees. Everything is still green at the same time. So I'm feeling that death and rebirth all at the same time within me, but I seeing it all around me as well.  And the message on the card is power and strength lie within our surrender to change.

Okay. So that's a big one. So, as we know, change can be hard, it can be scary, and maybe even earth shattering at times.

But we have to understand that change is inevitable. It's going to happen, and we will experience it in our relationships, our careers, our health, and whether we choose it or it chooses us. You have the choice to make a decision at that moment. You can use any moment as a lesson, as permission, or even as fuel to propel you into your next chapter.

Just make sure you're making the decision from a space of heart and self-love.

And also I opened the book too 'cause I wanted to, um, read the deeper message that they have here.

The message is let go of what is letting go of you.

All right, my friends—that wraps up today’s deep dive into root chakra healing and how it may be quietly blocking you from receiving aligned abundance.
